Membership meetings generally are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month. Association members will receive a monthly e-mail reminder with time, location and RSVP information.

Meeting featured NCIS Special Agent Jodi Delgado who addressed government product specifications and fraud awareness, and Captain Jerry Reina, USN, Deputy Commander of Southwest Regional Maintenance Center who shared his views on East Coast/West Coast Maintenance practices.

Meeting featured Rear Admiral Len Hering, USN, Commander, Navy Region Southwest who discussed the challenges to our Navy in our region.
March 2008
Paul Brown from the Port's Maritime Operations Department presented the Maritime Business Plan that was developed by the Port to maximize the positive benefits of its maritime operations.
Jim Hutzelman from the Port's Communications & Governmental Affairs Department provided an overview of the economic impact of the Port tidelands with emphasis on the network of industrial and maritime trade-related enterprises that comprise the Working Waterfront. The Port of San Diego and its tenant businesses on San Diego Bay tidelands comprise a powerful economic engine that supports over 70,000 jobs and generates over $10.6 billion in revenue to the San Diego Region.

Command Pacific who provided an overview of the
current MSC fleet status in the Pacific and recent
organizational changes of the Military Sealift Command.

Meeting featured Dr. Raymond Ashley, Ph.D., President and CEO of the Maritime Museum of San Diego. Dr. Ashley discussed the plans to acquire the submarine ex-USS Dolphin as an exhibit for the Maritime Museum, the construction of the replica San Salvador-Cabrillo's ship, and the maritime industry in San Diego.

Meeting featured Robert Kilpatrick, President and
General Manager of BAE Systems San Diego Ship Repair,
who provided an overview of current and future funding
for Port of San Diego and nationwide, and the financial
challenges with the industry. The meeting also included
an update from the committees.

This was a joint meeting with the Propeller Club
of San Diego and American Society of Naval Engineers
(ASNE) that featured Vice Admiral Tom Kilcline,
Commander of Naval Air Forces. Vice Admiral Kilcline
acknowledged the hard work of the ship repair companies
that supported the efforts of USS George Washington.
The PSDSRA also presented a $5,000 contribution
check to the Jackie Robinson Family YMCA. This was
made possible by efforts of Association members.
